Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has angrily dismissed the ball-tampering accusations made against Arshdeep Singh by former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq during the T20 World Cup 2024 and called the comments a joke. Mohammed Shami also tried to cut down on Amit Mishra for recently passing a remark on India’s cricketer, Virat Kohli. Former Pakistan cricket player Inzamam ul Haq criticized Arshdeep Singh’s nurturing capability of reverse swing at the time of the playoff match against Australia in the T20 World Cup 2024.
He was quoted saying this on the Pakistani news channel:
I will not be shocked if the Australian batters struggle against Indians also, especially when a young bowler by the name of Arshdeep managed to get the Australian batters with a reverse swing as early as the 14th and 15th overs.

I said in an interview I will cut the ball and will show this device or that if it is there. They said, ‘How Arshdeep Singh got reverse swing?’ I want to say only one thing to Inzamam Bhai. I respect him a lot, but if you do the same thing, isn’t it ball-tampering? Those who do well against them will be their target. India and Pakistan are arch-rivals.
