Major League Soccer brings MLS Matchday 26 free to all with a connection to Apple TV on Saturday, July 13. MLS has a full schedule of fourteen games packed within one viewing window starting at 7:30 pm EST. The Copa America and Euro 2024 tournaments wrap up on Sunday, so the MLS is capitalizing on the weekend opportunity to put American soccer on full display.
Let’s take a quick tour around Major League Soccer so you know which games to keep your eyes on while surfing the MLS channel this weekend during MLS Matchday 26.
FC Cincinnati Paces a Top Heavy East

Currently, the Eastern Conference is a two-horse race between Cincinnati FC (48 points) and Inter Miami (47). Given their deep early season run to a second-place finish at the CONCACAF Champions Cup, Columbus Crew still has to be considered a contender during the Audi MLS Playoffs. Columbus is hanging around in third place with 39 points.
FC Cincinnati marches forward following a 6-1 beatdown over a Messi-less Inter Miami during MLS Matchday 25. Cincy’s club remains in Ohio welcoming sixth-place Charlotte to try their hand at TQL Stadium. The teams played to a 1-1 draw in Charlotte on 03/30/24.
Luciano Acosta is staking his claim for consideration in the Landon Donovan MVP trophy conversation. USMNT defender Miles Robinson is expected to play one more game in Cincy before departing for Paris, France, and the 2024 Olympic Games. Robinson is one of 10 MLS players heading to the Olympics.
Wild West Conference Showdown in Seattle
Seattle is unbeaten in five straight matches as the Sounders creep up the Western Conference table. After a rough start, Seattle finds its record back above .500 at 8W-7L-7D as they look to make a push in a crowded standings picture between fifth and tenth in the West.
Forward Jordan Morris has showcased impressive form for Seattle with four goals over his last four matches. Teammate Albert Rusnik has chipped in with three goals in as many games to provide a formidable offense punch for the Sounders.
Gyasi Zardes and Austin FC arrive to spoil the Seattle run. Austin defeated New York FC last weekend by a one-goal margin and will be happy with a similar result on the road. Austin sits in ninth place with an eight-win, six-loss, and eight-draw record for the 2024 season.
Bounanga Leads LAFC into MLS Matchday 26

Los Angeles’ Denis Bouanga wants a piece of that MVP conversation as well. LA FC’s number 99 has been doing his best 1990s Wayne Gretzky impersonation with all the scoring he has been doing for LA FC. The forward has 14 goals in his last 17 matches aiding the rise of the Los Angeles Football Club to the top of the table in the Western Conference.
It is scary to think LA FC’s offense could get even better with the incoming transfer of Oliver Giroud from A.C. Milan on July 18th. That date is still a week away with matches to be played. A rematch of the MLC Cup in 2023 as a difficult Columbus Crew visits Los Angeles bringing wins in eight of their last nine. LA FC has been unbeaten in ten matches setting up a potential preview of the 2024 MLS Cup in the fall.
We have only covered three of the top battles with many matches available during MLS Matchday 26 on Apple TV on July 13. The full schedule can be found on the MLS website.
