The Milwaukee Bucks made a coaching change halfway through the season. But the news shows how fragile postseason aspirations can be. Until it gets to that time, fans wait, holding their breath, as each play until the end of the season is the potential end of one of their favorite players. The latest news from this morning isn’t from one of the primary contributors, but it should have a lasting impact. However, it remains to be seen how this Bucks team will be able to respond.
Do you see this latest injury update taking a toll on the playoff chances for the Milwaukee side?
Another Obstacle To Overcome For The Milwaukee Bucks
Patrick Beverley is already a media personality. We are no longer in the same days where NBA players wait until retirement to be opinionated or even host a show. Furthermore, we can often get news and information straight from the source itself. On his own Pat Bev Pod, the guard announced that he is likely to miss three to four months.
BREAKING: Patrick Beverley could miss up to 3-4 months with a torn ligament in his right wrist that requires surgery, if he chooses to go that route.
Beverley has been playing through the injury.

The injury he sustained was a torn ligament in his right wrist. Additionally, this is going to require surgery and, subsequently, time to heal. Again, he’s not a primary player; depending on the matchups and availability, he could even come off the bench in the playoffs. But when on the court, his tenacity, spirit, and leadership make him a forceful player to deal with for any opposition.
What This Means For the Milwaukee Bucks
This move is frustrating for someone who was hoping to make a playoff push this year. But the Milwaukee Bucks have a lot of things that they need to handle, and they need to be able to move on quickly. Firstly, the guards for the Bucks will need to step up their defensive efforts. Although a lot has been said about the statistical improvement under Doc Rivers, there are still concerns on that end of the court. Moreover, without someone like Beverley, the overall desire and willingness to defend for 48 minutes go down.
Defensive Effort Needed From Milwaukee Bucks
Therefore, collectively, this team will need to find a way to put up a bigger fight on that end of the court. Milwaukee is a good team, and they could be better defensively. But the Bucks too often have lapses and give up easier buckets than they should. This is an issue that needs to be solved by the Milwaukee Bucks before the postseason this year.
