Three days later, they’ll travel to Manchester to face a tough rival Manchester City. The Gunners have been maintaining their good form this season in the Premier League. So far they’ve not lost a single game, and they’ve only had a draw. Mikel Arteta will hope his side can continue with that rhythm against Atalanta and Man City.

However, there are a lot of worries lying ahead for Arteta’s team. Injury challenges facing major players like Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino. However, Arteta will hope his team can adapt to these challenges ahead of the thrilling fixtures.

Mikel Arteta has revealed the state of the team, believes the confidence is high, and there is a strong urge to achieve something. He believes his team is ready to achieve something special. He said “There is a huge alignment [at the club], First, emotionally because there is a big attachment at the football club from the people that are running it. Secondly, we are all still highly motivated and emotional about what is coming next. The focus is firmly on how we can continue to be better, continue to improve, and try to deliver what a lot of our supporters are waiting for.”

The Spaniard also talked about his team’s plans and the steady pursuit of improvement. He also claimed he is willing to give his best for the team to achieve something great.

He said: “In my job today, and maybe tomorrow, that is the future. That is the realistic thing about it. We have a lot of plans and a lot of things we are continuing to try and do to develop and to improve, but the reality is let’s take care of what is doable today and what we can make better to impact the team and the club. Then, let’s look at tomorrow and see how this looks. Let’s take it step-by-step.

He also commented about the efforts he is making to keep improving on his, he remarked that his personal growth and improvements were due to people better than him, surrounding him. He added: “The only thing I can promise is that every single day I will give my best and keep developing to try to improve myself, to be surrounded by [people] better than me that are challenging and inspiring me every single day, and hopefully that will bring good outcomes.”

What’s Ahead for Arsenal

The Gunners are expected to travel to Bergamo to face a tricky Atlanta side in the Champions League, and a few days later, they’ll make another trip to Manchester, to play the Premier League defending champions. Mikel Arteta will be hoping his team will be prepared for these tough tasks. It might be difficult to win both games, especially with the big injuries, around both Odegaard and Merino. However, he’ll desire a fight and something tangible from his team, ahead of the games.
