Michigan Wolverines Star Revealed As Top Rated Player In EA Sports College Football 25

The Michigan Wolverines lost many top-tier players to the NFL this past offseason. The national championship-winning team had plenty of blue-chip talent, which is why they were so dominant last season. However, there is still plenty left on this team. While certain players will be missed, the talent is still here. One player, cornerback Will Johnson, was revealed to be the top-rated player in the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game.

Michigan Wolverines cornerback Will Johnson leads the way at a 96 overall. The top 100 players were released by the game’s marketing department today and has been the topic of much discussion. Fans of the video game have been waiting ten years for the release, and seeing which players rated the highest was of much interest to many fans. It is unclear exactly how the player ratings are calculated, though we do know it is in part by Pro Football Focus data.

Will Johnson has many attributes in the 90s. The Michigan Wolverine’s cornerstone secondary piece has 92 in speed, 95 in acceleration, 74 in strength, 94 in awareness, and 92 in jumping ability. These ratings may change throughout the year. EA has already said they will adjust based on the performances of the players during the year. Depending on how dominant Johnson is this season, he could climb even higher.

Will Johnson isn’t the only member of the Michigan Wolverines to crack the top 100 in EA Sports College Football 25. Defensive tackle Mason Graham is a 95 overall and comes in at number eight. Elite tight end Colston Loveland is a 92 overall and the 33rd-ranked player in the game. Cover athlete Donovan Edwards is a 91 overall and just in the top 50 at number 49. The last Wolverine in the top 100 is defensive tackle Kenneth Grant, who is also a 91 overall and the 55th-ranked player.

EA Sports believes Michigan will still have elite talent on the field in 2024. Both sides of the ball have elite talent. The only real question is the quarterback position. Head coach Sherrone Moore hasn’t named a starter, but there is no shortage of talent in the room. It will likely depend on who gels with the offense. However, it may not matter if the run game is what it has been the last few years.

Other Notable Names In The Top 100

Right behind Will Johnson is LSU tackle Will Campbell. Ohio State has a couple of players in the top ten Caleb Downs and Quinshon Judkins. The Deion Sanders-led Colorado Buffaloes have two players in the top 20: Travis Hunter (6) and quarterback Shedeur Sanders (17). The Buckeyes and the Wolverines are definitely peppered throughout the top 100. It should lead to another huge matchup at the end of the season.

Fans are chomping at the bit to play EA Sports College Football 25. The release is less than a week away, and fans are already getting excited to play as their favorite teams. For Wolverines’ fans, there should be plenty of top-tier talent to use in the game.
