Michigan Wolverines Land Top 100 Recruit In 2025 Class

Michigan Wolverines land Nate Marshall, Ivan Taylor, Phillip Wright, Andrew Marsh

The Michigan Wolverines have had a great month of recruiting. New head coach Sherrone Moore has been flexing his recruiting muscles lately. He flipped a top safety from Notre Dame and landed a top wide receiver. Moore is adding another explosive talent to the 2025 class. Four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh has verbally committed to the Wolverines.

Andrew Marsh is a 6-foot, 175-pound wide receiver from Fulshear, Texas. On3 has him ranked as the 87th overall recruit in the class of 2025, and 247 has him ranked even higher at 63 in their composite rankings. Marsh has elite high school numbers. In three seasons, he had 149 receptions for 2,414 yards and 31 touchdowns.

The Michigan Wolverines are getting an elite talent at wide receiver. Scouts have raved about his explosiveness. 247’s scouts had this to say about the Texas-based receiver.

“Explosive, productive receiver with a lean, wiry-strong build and impressive athletic markers in high jump, vertical, and broad jump categories. Frequent big-play merchant thanks largely to slippery strength and athleticism in run-after-catch situations. Unorthodox in gait and play style, but fights through tackles and maintains balance to get extra yardage despite a slighter frame.

Big vertical and broad numbers reflect go-get-it ability in contested scenarios. Above average route-leveraging for this stage of development. Finds ways to slip multiple defenders with unique deceleration / acceleration acumen combined with balance and body control.”

While the Wolverines have been defined by their defense over the past few seasons, Moore is looking to bring back a high-octane offense to Ann Arbor. The 2025 class is already shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory.

2025 Recruiting Rankings

What makes this commitment sweeter for the Michigan Wolverines is who they beat out for Marsh’s services. Washington, Texas, and USC were all in the mix, but the receiver decided to join the maize and blue. Currently, On3 has the Wolverines ranked 13th in the 2025 recruiting rankings. It puts them third in the Big Ten, with Ohio State and Oregon fielding better classes now.

While many thought Jim Harbaugh was a great recruiter, Sherrone Moore might be even better. The former head coach was able to get the most out of the talent he was able to get. Moore is landing top-tier talent. If he can coach up the players on the field, Michigan could be a championship contender for the foreseeable future.
