This Miami Heat team continues to impress. They are not at full strength, but they are able to control the game. Additionally, being able to suck the life out of anyone in the NBA and the way in which they did is impressive. Yes, the Cleveland Cavaliers are undermanned at the moment. However, this Heat team is not at full capacity either. Therefore, it remained impressive that the first half was not particularly close in terms of the score, but Miami looked a level above in South Beach.
Is Miami poised for another NBA Finals run this year?
Complete First Half Control By the Miami Heat
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat played a game that was more or less over by the first quarter. However, everyone knows Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo lead this team. One of the surprising players to step up was Haywood Highsmith. Highsmith shot a perfect three of three from three-point territory to give a 13-point boost off the bench. His increased role and shooting touch helped the Heat gain a 21-point advantage after two quarters.
While it’s unlikely for him to go perfect from range, his potential to be a more consistent shooting option will do a world of wonders for this Miami Heat team. Therefore, it remains to be seen if this is more of a one-off, but if possible, this roster would enjoy seeing him be able to produce at this higher rate and this high clip more consistently.
The Miami Heat Looking The Part
The Miami Heat being able to win and even control the game from the get-go is not a surprise. Instead, how well this team is playing together and how easily different players are able to make the most of their roles is impressive. Not only did the scoreline accurately reflect how they were able to, but this looks like a team that is ready for the playoffs to begin tomorrow. Even when the Cavs had a slight chance of making things interesting, the overall intensity and team cohesiveness proved to be far too much for the opposition of the Heat.
If The Playoffs Started Tomorrow For the Miami Heat
This is a team that is ready for the playoffs already. And coming into the season, many did not pick them to be near the top of the Eastern Conference. However, regardless of who they were to face, the other team would wish for a different appointment. Therefore, as long as Butler and Adebayo continue to play at a high level, they realistically only need one other player on any given night to give solid production throughout his seven-game series. If you are betting against the Miami Heat, you are doing so at your own risk.
