The Memphis Grizzlies will face the Sacramento Kings to make their debut in the NBA 2K25 Summer League on July 12. We’ll get to see more action between these competitive teams after their California Classic and Salt Lake City Summer League exhibition.
The Memphis Grizzlies started their Summer League exhibit quite competitive against the Utah Jazz. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies finished going 1-for-2 in three games. The Grizzlies first-round overall pick Zach Edey and star forward Jake LaRivia were sidelined in their last Salt Lake City Summer League match against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Memphis Grizzlies still have a chance to come out on top as the team still has potential stars.
The Sacramento Kings were strong in both rosters. Now, there won’t be a Sacramento Kings 1 and 2 team roster as the best players were selected from each roster. Some of the headliners of the Kings’ 2K25 Summer League roster are Adonis Arms, Antoine Davis, Xavier Sneed, Isaiah Crawford, and Keon Ellis. The head coach of this team would be Doug Christie. Also, Kevin Carter won’t participate in this Las Vegas Summer League exhibit.
What should we expect from this team’s second-round appearance?

Memphis Grizzlies
Despite the unavailability of the Grizzlies’ star rookie, Zach Edey, the team isn’t short of up-and-coming youngsters. Scottie Pippen Jr. who is on a two-way contract with the Grizzlies franchise might get a standard NBA contract to play for the Grizzlies after this Summer League exhibit. Scottie’s performance at the Salt Lake City Summer League was short of underperformance. Throughout the Salt Lake City exhibit the Grizzlies guard averaged 19 points and five assists, shooting 42.4% from the field. Also, his defensive play has been good as he recorded three assists and a block per game.
Cam Spencer is the Grizzlies’ No. 53rd overall draft pick. His debut was decent, however as Spencer progressed, he improved his performance. Cam Spencer averaged 14.5 points, four assists, and five rebounds per game. His offensive performance was the Grizzlies’ first win at the Salt Lake City Summer League.
Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings star guard, Adonis Arms joins the King’s main roster for the Las Vegas 2K25 Summer League. Adonis dominated the California Classic summer league exhibit and averaged 20.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. Also, the Kings’ guard made 55.6% of his shot attempts on the field. With the right supportive player, Adonis Arms could elevate his performance to maintain the Kings’ competitive nature.
Keon Ellis is another outstanding player on the Kings’ new roster. At the end of the California Classic Summer League, he averaged 20.3 points, four rebounds, and 2.7 assists. To maximize his offense, Keon would need a good offensive player as Ellis averaged 52.4 FG% and 38.9 three-point percentage per game.
