After his underrated solid performance in club football throughout the years, his passion and dedication weren’t a part of the question. He always delivered the best he could to keep his opponents way from the goalscoring frenzy.

Mats’s defending skills have his fellow defenders stunned after failing to break the yellow wall. He owned the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, Antoine Griezmann, and many other elite players. Unfortunately, there is a saying that football is a cruel sport that has turned out to be true.

Mats Hummels unfortunately failing to fulfill to bring glory to Borussia Dortmund has turned his nightmarish dream come true, after failing to win the Bundesliga and the Champions League finals, his spirit eventually broke into shatters and tears, despite winning millions of hearts.

The main reason for Hummel’s dismissal is that he was involved in a violent confrontation with Edin Terzic. He did not agree with the gameplay of Terzic’s managerial tactics. He said: I was furious because I was of the opinion that Borussia Dortmund shouldn’t play like that, against any opponent in the world,

“I didn’t think it could go on like this. I felt insulted in my honor to stand on the pitch in that kit. So submissive, so inferior in footballing terms. The two Stuttgart games and the away game in Leverkusen. That was barricading with 11 men in the box.”

Terzic dismissal as a Dortmund manager has all the changes in the Dortmund squad, due to the heavy fights between Mats Hummels and Terzic, they both decided to leave the club.

Mats Hummels isn’t considering retirement after all this season he has been through, the 35-year-old is looking forward to playing in Italy as AC Milan and Roma are eyeing to buy the German defender. Hummels will leave Dortmund as a free agent only to be seen to play for an Italian club.

After the 2-0 humiliation from Real Madrid, Mats is now looking for a new challenge to fulfill his potential once again in a more competitive league. This might be a harder pill to digest that Hummels will be leaving Germany after 16 years.
