In his freshman year at Ohio State he caught 11 passes and scored 2 touchdowns, Marvin Harrison Jr.’s production would skyrocket in his Sophomore year. In his Sophomore season, Harrison Jr. caught 77 passes for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. He had a similar season, output-wise, in his Junior year, which would prove to be his final season at Ohio State. Masrvin Harrison Jr. caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns, again.

Harrison Jr. then wisely declared for the National Football League draft. Buckeye Nation was sad to see Harrison go, but the risk of injury and the lure of millions of dollars made the decision easy for Harrison. After being drafted number four overall by the Arizona Cardinals, Marvin Harrison Jr. signed a 7-year contract worth $67 million.

Marvin Harrison Jr. set some lofty records at Ohio State. He ranks very high in the all-time record book. The others on the lists read like a who’s who of wide receiving royalty.

In receptions, Marvin Harrison Jr. ranks number six. The top five are KJ Hill (201), David Boston (191), Chris Olave (176), Chris Carter (168), and Michael Jenkins (165). The is no harm in being behind those guys. Boston also played for the Cardinals. Marvin Harrison Jr also ranks sixth all-time at Ohio State in receiving yards. The top five are Michael Jenkins (2,898), David Boston (2,855), Gary Williams (2,792), Chris Carter (2,725), and Chris Olave (2,711). It was said all Chris Carter does is catch touchdown passes.

Speaking of touchdown receptions, Harrison ranks third all-time at Ohio State. The top five are Chris Olave (35), David Boston (34), Marvin Harrison Jr. (31), Devin Smith (30), and Chris Carter (27). Olave plays for the New Oreales Saints. Chris Carter caught a lot of touchdowns in the National Football League for the Minnesota Vikings. Devin Smith was a speedster who played professionally for the New York Jets until he got hurt.
