Erik ten Hag’s plans squad with Mason Greenwood’s decision and two signings
Erik ten Hag has consistently stressed his desire for competition in every position in his team ahead of his second season as Man United manager. United have reportedly decided against releasing or selling Mason Greenwood after entering the final phase of talks over the forward’s future. Jadon Sancho’s stance on returning to Man United revealed
Sancho headed back to Dortmund for a second stint in the January transfer window after a massive, public fall-out with Man United manager Erick Ten Hag. It all kicked off when Ten Hag publicly said that Sancho’s performance levels in training were not up to scratch. Sancho was left furious and hit back at the Dutchman, insisting the claims were untrue and that he was being made a ‘scapegoat’ for the team’s struggles. Sancho could still resurrect his United career – but only if Ten Hag is sacked as manager at the end of the season.
“While the priority is to sell both players, another loan move hasn’t been ruled out for either Sancho or Greenwood and there remains a possibility the former returns to his parent club. We know Sancho is a fantastic player. That is not a surprise. That is not the issue. It was a fantastic game – Dortmund against Atletico Madrid. Great performance from Dortmund and for Jadon it’s good news.”
“Of course, I follow international football and follow the players on loan at other clubs.”
