Malakai Black’s Surprising AEW Future Reportedly Revealed

AEW All In

The status of Malakai Black in AEW has been one of the hot-button issues in the recent past, but new developments have provided the answers. Black was recently reported to be on his way out of the company, however, he is contracted to AEW till at least December 2025. Newspapers have attested that even though his contract indicated that he would stay a longer period, changes have been made to keep him in the company for the long run.

This news comes in the backdrop of the ongoing evolutions in the House of Black faction, more specifically, Buddy Matthews has recently re-signed with AEW which shows the company’s dedication to retaining its top assets.

Malakai Black Confirmed to Stay with AEW Until 2025

AEW Blood & Guts, AEW Collision Malakai

Based on this, it appears that Malakai Black is not going anywhere regarding AEW. Contrary to some hearsay, a new update proves that Black signed a deal enabling him to stay with AEW until the end of 2025. Further reports from pwinsider.com also indicated that Black’s contract will run up to 2025. Despite some people believing that he might abandon the place soon, it is apparent that the head of the House of Black is not going anywhere. This has eliminated any rumors of his departure with no changes for the faction.

Fightful Select continued the information adding that Tony Khan’s previous remarks led to some confusion. In February 2022 Khan said Black had a contract until 2026, which means that he will not leave before then. However, alterations to the deal reduced that period, and it is now known Black will stay with AEW until the end of this year at the bare minimum.

Malakai Black’s AEW Journey

Black signed for AEW in 2021 and was later accompanied to the ring by Buddy Matthews and Brody King. As mentioned before, this week there were some rumors that Buddy Matthews inked a new deal with AEW. It is not clear how long the new deal is, but it demonstrates AEW’s dedication to the House of Black.

Malakai Black has had good and bad moments in AEW. He has had his big spots in both the wrestling and microphone/ videos. The House of Black has been a powerful faction and has captured the AEW World Trios Championships and Julia Hart was a former TBS Champion. However, its booking has been irregular at times which has sometimes prevented the teams from realizing their maximum potential.

On the other hand, Black’s wife Zelina Vega is doing well in WWE. Her fame raised speculations that Black could be heading back to WWE, especially with Triple H in the company who trained her in WWE NXT.

AEW’s Commitment to Malakai Black about Future Prospects

Malakai Black will remain in AEW but his future with the company beyond this year is unknown. The constant efforts of AEW to re-sign talents like her and Buddy Matthews show the company’s approach to building. Not only does Black’s confirmed stay until December 2025 extinguish rumors of his exit but, implies a promising period of faction growth for the House of Black.

AEW has to adapt to these changes, the organization’s attention to the development, and its assets suggests a more expansive view of the organization’s goals and the unity that will be achieved in the process. It will be interesting for the fans and people involved in the organization to see what happens next.
