Mafia Capo Talks About OJ Simpson Audacious 1994 Mob Hit Theory

OJ Simpson

Did OJ Simpson hire “the mob” to take the lives of Nicole Simpson-Brown and Ron Goldman on that fateful evening of June 12th, 1994? How come we haven’t heard of this “mob hit” theory before? Did “the mob” generally kill people for hire?

To answer these questions (and more), former Colombo crime family Capo, Michael Franzese, went to the internet to discuss the potential mob hit theory. He also reveals an exciting personal relationship with the Simpson family and talks about Mafia ethics. You don’t become one of the biggest and longest organized crime organizations by just doing anything, after all.

Michael Franzese Knew the Simpson Family

In his video, Michael Franzese talks about his family’s personal relationship with the Simspons. The Franzese girls attended the same school as Simpson’s eldest daughter, Arnelle.

In fact, the entire family (Sans Michael, who was in lock-up) was at the recital that followed the events on June 12th. They all also attended the school-wide dinner after at the restaurant where Ron Goldman worked.

The events that night shocked the Franzese family as much as they did the entire community. Not only was the Brentwood neighborhood a safe one, but they also couldn’t believe that OJ Simpson would do something like that. We won’t cover everything in the video, so make sure to watch it. One of those things is how the Franzese family came to terms with OJ’s guilt.

The mob hit theory is discussed in this article in depth. By the way, the New York Post, Michael, and the author of this article agree that the casual use of a derogatory word like “goons” in the title of the article is impolite.

Allegedly, according to the article, OJ Simpson connected with the Gambino family to arrange a hit. The source of this information, was John Dunton, a Recollection agency owner in Los Angeles at the time that apparently had a pulse on mob activity in the city.

Dunton told a private detective that four Gambino family members showed up and took out Nicole Brown-Simpson and Ron Goldman.

Dutton was allegedly scared into silence after a Gambino “operative” made him get on his knees and cross his ankles, before shoving a firearm in his mouth and threatening John’s family. Allegedly the man then told him that he had “whacked” plenty of people before, including families of individuals, and he wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.

For unclear reasons, Dutton felt comfortable coming forward after OJ Simpson died even though the Gambino family member who threatened him is apparently still alive. The article ends with the writer pointing out that John Dutton had twice been convicted of forgery and was deemed unfit to testify in another trial in the 1990s.

Michael Franzese Clears Up Rumors

Franzese is not the kind of former mafia capo that you want to rile up, and this mob hit theory had him irritated. He may be quite the silver fox, but he’s 72, and he doesn’t suffer fools lightly.

Again, make sure to catch his video for all the details, but we will cover most of his main points.

Firstly, Michael Franzese is spitting mad over the idea that people would believe the mafia would hurt a woman like that. He points out that the mafia has its own firm ethics, and going after family members of the men violates that. Franzese was so confident in that code that he felt comfortable with his own family being out on the streets while he had hits on his own life or was in prison.

There’s only one mafia member who would stab and nearly decapitate a woman like that, and he wasn’t still alive in the 1990s. It was not the mob way to go after any civilians of any age or gender. The mafia was always careful to avoid hurting anyone other than other individuals in the mob (he has tons of stories on that on his YouTube channel).

Lastly, Franzese is no longer a part of that life, but he resents the amount of crime attached to the mafia then and now. More than any other organized crime organization, the gentlemen in the family have ethics and morals. They wouldn’t hurt Nicole Brown-Simpson or Ron Goldman, and they wouldn’t hurt John Dutton’s wife or children either. Let’s put the blame where it belongs, everyone!
