Madan Lal Hails Bumrah and Pandya, Calls for Improved Batting Performance in T20 World Cup

An ex-cricket player and the 1983 World Cup winner, Madan Lal, praised Indian bowlers. Especially the duo of Bumrah and Pandya, for their tremendous job in giving India a six-wicket win against their arch-rivals Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T/20 World Cup in New York. Although India had set a nominal total of 120 runs for Pakistan, they were nevertheless able to hold the match, and this was due to a splendid performance in the bowling arena.

The Indian bowlers gave yet another splendid performance to help the team reach the finals.

Bumrah had stellar figures of 3–14, while Hardik Pandya was equally useful with an important spell of 2–24. The match proved exciting when Pakistan reached 80/4, but Indian bowlers tried to spin it, and they won this match by six runs.

Madan Lal also emphasized the bowling department and said that the entire bowling partnership worked like a charm, but Bumrah and Pandya were very impressive. He stressed that Pandya’s four overs are very important and appreciated spinners for their parts. Indeed, it does take a great deal of effort to win a match where a target as low as 120 is set up, and this is a result of the force and resilience of the Indian bowlers.
