Los Angeles Rams Continue Road Success

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams continued their success on the road this season by defeating the New York Jets 19-9 on Sunday. It was LA’s fifth straight road victory this season. Their road winning streak has included games against the Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets.

This winning streak came as a surprise because the Los Angeles Rams lost their first three road contests of the season. The last time Los Angeles won five straight road games was in 2001 when they advanced to the Super Bowl. They would lose to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Will Los Angeles be able to carry their road success from 2024 into the NFL Playoffs?

Los Angeles Rams Season Summary

The Rams(9-6) are seemingly rounding into form as the regular season has hit the homestretch. They have won five straight games and have an 88% chance to make the NFL Playoffs. Los Angeles is currently the No. 3 seed in the NFC and would not have the opportunity for a road postseason game until at least the second round of the postseason if the bracket holds.

LA’s offense has been middling this season as they are 16th in the league in total yards and 18th in points per game. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has found his footing after struggling to begin the regular season. He is eighth in the league in passing yards, 12th in passing touchdowns, and 10th in QBR. The defense of the Los Angeles Rams though has been a weak point for the team this season. They are 24th in yards allowed and 17th in points allowed.

Final Thoughts

The Los Angeles Rams do not have any road games remaining on their schedule for the regular season. They look to clinch a playoff spot with home games against the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. Los Angeles is in prime position to make the postseason for the sixth time in the last eight seasons.
