The Los Angeles Clippers face the Sacramento Kings for a late Sunday showdown. Although the West is a tight contest, they look to take care of business at home. However, some late injury news could spell troubles tonight. But luckily this team remains a strong unit. Especially with some of the players throughout their roster.
This team is better positioned than most other NBA teams to withstand the loss of a star player. But against some of the playmakers of the visitors, not having one key piece could make things interesting.
Do you see the latest exclusion being an issue for the home team tonight?
Los Angeles Clippers Injury Update
The starters for tonight will be Terance Mann, James Harden, Norman Powell, Kawhi Leonard, and Ivica Zubac. But Paul George will not suit up due to a knee injury. He entered tonight as a game-time decision. Ultimately, the knee is too much for him to be able to play against the Sacramento Kings tonight.
Although the Los Angeles Clippers are third in the West, this could be a trap game against a good Kings team. While they only sit two games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves, the away team is not too far behind.

This could provide a chance for the visitors to close the gap. the Kings sit in seventh and are five games behind the Clippers in the West. While a win would still be a surprise, they need to at least play better than what they have been.
Los Angeles Clippers Previous Games Against The Kings
Sacramento has improved as of late. However, they lost the previous two encounters to the Los Angeles Clippers. Moreover, it wasn’t particularly close. Their last game against this LA team saw a 20-point defeat. Additionally, their game before that was a 14-point loss at home. But these games were back in December and November respectively.
But the home team knows that they can’t take tonight for granted. Especially without George, they know they need to take care of business and not allow the Kings to keep it close late. However, their bench depth has improved throughout the season, and looks to contribute more tonight.
Los Angeles Clippers Tonight
Russell Westbrook accepting his role and being a contributor off the bench has been a gift to this team. Especially with the stars toward the top of this rotation, having someone run the second unit is beneficial and should help long-term.
Especially in a game like tonight, look for him to add good minutes for the Los Angeles Clippers without George. He averages 23.0 minutes on the season, but that may go up today. Also, P.J. Tucker is someone who fits in well to fill the role of Paul George tonight. He played 14 minutes in their last game against the Grizzlies. While the veteran isn’t able to contribute as much or as often as he’d like, tonight he may have something of a throwback performance for the Los Angeles Clippers.
