The Los Angeles Chargers clinched a playoff spot in Harbaugh’s first year at the helm. Los Angeles(10-6) currently occupies the No. 6 spot in the AFC Playoff picture. The Chargers have had a middling offense this season, but the unit came alive today with a season-high 44 points against the Patriots. Los Angeles is 24th in the league in yards per game and 15th in points per game.
Los Angeles has been powered by their defense this season. They are 17th in yards allowed and second in points allowed. Today’s game was the fourth time Los Angeles has surrendered 10 or fewer points this season. If the Los Angeles Chargers want to win a playoff game in January, they need to rely on their defense.
