He is a 2022 fourth-round draft pick of the Tennessee Titans. He ran for 93 yards on 25 carries at 3.7 yards an attempt. He added 11 receptions for 57 yards and helped on special teams, recording 19 kickoff returns for 414 yards.

Before turning pro in the NFL, Haskins played college football at the University of Michigan. At the time, he was quite a star there, especially during his senior year. Haskins was a team captain and named third-team All-America. He also made the first-team All-Big Ten list. During his senior season, he tied fourth in the nation with 20 rushing touchdowns.

His connection with Head Coach Jim Harbaugh before that makes the Haskins move to the Chargers intriguing. He was under Harbaugh at Michigan from 2018 to 2021. That relationship can only quicken Haskins’ settling into his new team.

Chargers’ Roster Moves

The addition of Haskins points out that the Chargers have some store changes. They released safety JT Woods to clear space for him, indicating their tactic of providing depth to the running back slot. The Chargers expect Haskins to lead with added skill and experience to the pack.

Aside from claiming Haskins, the Chargers signed 15 players to their practice squad. Such a move is important for the team’s preparation for the season ahead. The players on the practice squad help the team prepare and add depth throughout the season.

Haskins is considered a powerful runner and a great contributor on special teams. His experience in college and brief NFL career could serve him well with the Chargers, and the team will be anxious to see how he fits into their system.

Looking Ahead

The Chargers will keep a close eye on Haskins as the season draws near. They are banking on him to gel well into their offense and prove to be a worthy contributor. The decision of the team management to bring him aboard indicates that they mean business as far as setting up their running game goes. The addition of Haskins has Chargers fans extremely hyped, as many have pointed out his college achievements and how that might affect making an impact in the NFL.

Recent moves by the Los Angeles Chargers have added running back Hassan Haskins to the roster while signing 15 players to their practice squad. Having NFL experience from previous games and his successes in college, a lot will be expected from him in key actions. The Chargers look set for a strong season and need Haskins to help them succeed.
