London is Red!! Arsenal Takes Out Derby Rivals In a Narrow 2-3 Win

Arsenal

The Arsenal, North London Derby has never disappointed although the years, it has always brought out the good, the bad and the ugly of this neighborhood rivalry. Through blood, sweat and shear grit the north London Emirates outfit was able to grind a 2-3 win over their next door rivals Tottenham Hotspurs. To make matters worse they humiliated them in their own turf having thrashed three goals past them only to give them hopes of a comeback with two mistakes one from the goalkeeper and a late penalty leaving Arsenal frantically defending a mere goal lead from three up in the 38′ minute.

The bragging rights and the crucial three points of the North London derby went to the mighty arsenal, painting the streets of London red leaving a sore taste in the mouth of their bitter rivals. Chants of jubilation were had after the referee blew the last whistle. A bitten Tottenham Hotspurs fan base withdrew quietly from the stadium as the winners of the derby chanted songs praising their performers for a good job done. Declan Rice was seen giving out his jersey to an overly excited Arsenal fan at the away side of the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium

A Random fan was sported in the Tottenham end of the stadium donning a Tottenham puff jacket but up inside flaunting an away Jersey celebrating the victory and spending another week on top of the EPL table. This will be crucial given the league is only three matches to the end. Truly Arsenal are the Kings of London.

Arteta, the manager had earlier advised his players to put aside the rivalry and play with level heads as a way to put aside emotions and play the game being less focused. This was the case as the Gooners took their chances with an own goal from Hoibjer, then later own Bukayo Saka engineered a counter-attacking football, and converted a lovely bottom corner curl shot giving the away team a two-goal advantage, within no time Arsenal tripled their advantage with an inch-perfect header from Kai Harvetz.  It was a done job by the first half.

The second half proved to be tricky for Arsenal as the home team came out guns blazing, thanks to a goalkeeper obvious mistake that gifted them a goal that erupted the whole stadium as the home fans wanted to push their team to pull a comeback. Another 85′ minute penalty made it even worse for Arsenal as they lost their three goal advantage to one. It was a frantic finish of the game but perseverance made sure they took all three points thanks to their level-headed mindset.

On to the next one for Arsenal

The next EPL match Arsenal will face will be against Bournemouth, who are currently sitting at the bottom half of the table, this will be the third last game of the season. Arsenal will be looking to make it their fourth Premier League win in a row which will bring them closer to winning the EPL. Will Arsenal extend their current winning streak to the end of the season to ensure that they win their premier league? A title that have eluded them for more than two decades. The last title was won during the early Wenger days with an unbitten run in the Premier League, the Invincible.

As usual, I will be here to give you the gist, the drama, and the intriguing turns that the end of the Premier League season is going to offer as the 23/24 season comes to an end.
