Liverpool Sweeps Away Man City-Diaz Rumors

liverpool

Liverpool has been working on a lot of outgoing transfers over the past few days. However most have been major academy players, and returning loaned-out players. A key one made by the Merseyside club has been the sale of Fabio Carvalho. The 21-year-old was sold to Brentford for a fee of €20 million.

The Portuguese who impressed in the preseason seems not to have found his place in Arne Slot’s team. It was rumored that he had desired a first-team shirt. However, with a lot of competition in place in the Liverpool squad, it almost seemed impossible. Other outgoings are been worked on by the club, but lately, the club has dismissed a rumor of Luis Diaz being part.

Liverpool Debunks Luis Diaz-Man City Rumors

It was earlier reported today that Man City had agreed a fee of £70m for Luis Diaz. The news proceeded saying a move is certain for the left winger. But the news was immediately debunked by other reliable sources. Soon Liverpool also announced that no offer had been made for the Colombian. So far a lot of rumors have been flying about the energetic winger. This is especially true with news about him being sold and the Merseyside club acquiring Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon. However, none has been legitimate.

Also, Barcelona has been rumored looking to sign the Colombian. However, with a higher fee, the Rumor talks about him being exchanged for Frenkie De Jong. But none of these rumors have been confirmed valid.

Will Liverpool Sell Luis Diaz?

As it stands the Reds are contemplating on whether to make any new signings. With the transfer window rapidly wrapping up, the Reds will be cautious about which player to sell. This is in order not to have a depleted squad, especially when they are unsure about any new signings

Luis Diaz has been a valuable player during Klopp’s era. However, an almost full-season injury had affected his time at the club. Returning from injury, the Colombian struggled to find his feet and confidence. Last season he managed 8 goals in a complete season. Moreover, his overall play has shown he still has a lot to offer for the club. And with the club having sold Fabio Carvalho, there’s a high chance the Colombian won’t be sold.

Liverpool’s Fate in the Transfer window

There has been news from a lot of Anfield journalists that the Club might not make any further signings. However, time will tell whether the team will hold on to that or not. The rejection of Martin Zubimendi caused a lot of shock for the Reds. And with the little time remaining for the transfer window to close it might be tougher to make any transfer deals. This is due to most clubs increasing prices, and getting to convince players to leave their clubs. Notwithstanding Liverpool could still make a move, but only time will tell
