Graeme Souness Accuses Liverpool #11 of Making a Shocking Deal

Liverpool is one of the most infamous clubs in Premier League history. Not only do they have a historic fan backing that transcends generations and players in and out of the starting lineup, but they have also made a name for themselves in recent years after a spell of promising results under Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp is one of the most well-known managers in the league’s history, right up there with the current Manchester City leader Pep Guardiola and Sir Alex Ferguson who led Manchester United during the glory days.

But even Jurgen Klopp might not be able to keep one of the Red’s best stars in the next Premier League season. Can the club convince the versatile winger and striker to stay, or will he leave for ‘greener pastures’?

Liverpool Attacker Might Say Farewell

Jurgen Klopp might not be the only one departing Anfield after this Premier League season. Mo Salah, the decorated Liverpool striker and winger, might leave the club to go elsewhere after this season comes to a close. Not only is Salah one of the most prolific goal scorers to ever grace English football, but he is a beloved person and player in the Liverpool camp.

However, Graeme Souness, a decorated Scottish ex-professional who is currently a pundit and commentator, thinks that Salah could be on his way out.

And he isn’t the only one who thinks so. Salah was seen having a heated exchange with the loved Liverpool manager during their last game in the PL, showing his frustration at the coach’s decisions and the team’s decline of form in recent weeks.

Salah looked to be substituted into the game in London and was obviously upset at his lack of playing time, direction from Klopp, or overall feeling of frustration within the Liverpool backroom.

After the game, when tensions were still high, Salah had a post-match press conference and interview that left fans feeling concerned about his future at the English club.

He said if he spoke at that time, there would be ‘fire’ if he said anything to the media. This indicates a blowup, arguments, and frustration among coaching staff and players before, during, and/or after the disappointing draw.

Salah has had an amazing career so far at Liverpool. Even if he left now, he would be one of the best to ever put on the coveted red jersey. Salah has scored 210 goals and earned almost 90 assists during his 346 appearances for the Merseyside club, an amazing feat that has broken records and cemented his name forever in the halls of Liverpool glory.

But, there have been rumors of him leaving and going elsewhere in recent years. Liverpool rejected a bid from a Saudi Arabian team – who seems to be poaching everyone these days – for a whopping 150 million pounds.

And Graeme Souness thinks the time is nearing closer and closer after tensions were visibly seen by everyone watching online and in person at the London stadium last week.

‘I think there’s a real chance. There’s every chance he’s done a deal with Liverpool last summer, with all the interest from Saudi Arabia, to give them another year…he (Ronaldo) gave them another year and then went off to Real Madrid. He’s been marvelous, but I think he’s had his head turned…I think there’s every chance that will happen (transfer to Saudi Arabian league).’

Salah leaving Liverpool for another country is not only disappointing for English football, but for football pundits, players, ex-players, coaches, and everyone involved in the sporting world. There is no doubt he is one of the greats of the game.
