Liv Morgan entered Summerslam 2024 as the Women’s World Champion as she opened the show against Rhea Ripley and not many people believed she could retain the title. However, she was able to win with an Oblivion onto a steel chair while Dominik Mysterio distracted the referee to hand Rhea Ripley her first pinfall loss in more than 26 months.
There is going to be a lot of things that can happen going forward after Liv Morgan retained the Women’s World Championship so let’s take a look at what can happen at Monday Night RAW and for Liv Morgan going forward.
Who does Liv Morgan face for the next Premium Live Event?
Liv Morgan has been the Women’s World Champion ever since Rhea Ripley relinquished the championship due to an injury she suffered. However, there are a lot of wrinkles going forward as it seems that “Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio has turned on Ripley and is aligning himself with Morgan after walking out with her after the Summerslam 2024 opening match.
With the way the match ended as there was a steel chair and a bit of interference in order for the pinfall to be made, it would not be surprising to see a rematch happen. With The Judgment Day imploding as Damian Priest is ticked off at Dominik Mysterio, there is still a lot of meat left on the bone for this story in multiple directions. The next Premium Live Event is WWE Bash at Berlin on August 31, so there can be a rematch at that show. If not, they can have the match at the following Premium Live Event at Badd Blood on October 5.
With how Summerslam 2024 looks, there could be some more twists and turns but do not be surprised to see Rhea Ripley snap and eventually attack Dominik Mysterio. Liv Morgan’s plan of getting Mysterio on her side and making him turn on The Judgment Day has worked to perfection right now. Summerslam 2024 may have been able to end her way, but it will likely not be the last time we see a Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley match for the Women’s World Championship. Will there be a stipulation for their next match? How will the rest of The Judgment Day react to Dominik Mysterio’s decision?
