In the WrestleMania 40, Rhea Ripley pinned down Becky Lynch and was able to maintain the WWE Women’s World Championship title. However, the win was short-lived. Liv Morgan came for her on Raw to exact her vengeance. This led to her hurting her and saw Ripley lose the title. This reminded the fans of their enmity that they used to be allies in the tag team and competitors most of the time. By 2023, the rivalry between them was on, and Ripley was always the one who was getting the upper hand. Their careers progressed independently, but they remained on each other’s radar and battled (even though this time their animosity was more professional).
Rhea Ripley’s triumph and unexpected setback
In WrestleMania 40, Rhea Ripley achieved the highest level of her career by winning against Becky Lynch in a WWE Women’s World Championship match. Nevertheless, her triumph was brief. On the next Raw, she confronted Liv Morgan, and Morgan attacked her to avenge the previous incident. This was an angle to reignite their rivalry, but it had a shot effect as Ripley suffered an actual knee injury that led to her losing her title. Even though Morgan lost her first opportunity to pin down the championship, she later found herself with the belt, making the rivalry even more fierce.
Ripley and Morgan have faced each other several times in WWE and have also been teammates on the same team. They began collaborating in March 2022 and became a well-known pair with the name Liv 4 Brutality. They faced each other for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 38, but they didn’t win, and Morgan was pinned. Their alliance dissolved shortly after that due to her growing impatience with their losses; she confronted Morgan on Raw.
Betrayal, battles, and championship showdowns
Their rivalry resumed when there was the betrayal with an assault and they had several confrontational bouts. She was winning most of these moments, thus, strengthening her status as a frontrunner. However, more often than not, Morgan was on the losing side even though she did score some wins. Their rivalry continued in 2023 when Ripley defeated Morgan in the Women’s Royal Rumble and also in many other bouts.
Ripley and Morgan became bitter enemies and both of them got a job individually. Ripley is the WWE Women’s World Champion and Morgan is the Women’s Tag Team Champion with Raquel Rodriguez. But they crossed each other’s path once again and the two men ended up in a backstage fight and several assaults.
Rivalry reaches new heights
The rivalry between the two wrestlers has been quite physical and personal, thus giving WWE fans a glimpse of the determination and hardworking spirit of the two ladies. Ripley’s upper hand in their confrontations has been presented as one of the arcs, whereas Morgan’s constant stalking has been an interesting element of their rivalry.
Their fights become more intense, and the build-up to the next fight becomes more and more anticipated.
