Legacy Motorclub Announces Partnership with Newmar

Legacy Motorclub

Legacy Motorclub unveiled the decision early Monday to partner with the Newmar Corporation, a recreational vehicle manufacturer recreational vehicle manufacturer owned by Winnebago Industries worth $344 million. The partnership is slated to last a year and will bring comfort and luxury via a King Aire Coach provided during race days to fulfill the team’s corporate needs and optimize fan day experiences.

The coach will be custom-designed specifically for Legacy M.C., featuring their signature colors, black, gold, and white. The partnership just seemed to be the perfect fit for both parties because they operate on the premises of excellence and quality.

An Optimized Guest Experience

The 45-foot King Aire will appear just in time for the Daytona 500 on February 16, 2025. Fans will be equally excited to learn that apart from the typical race day, they’ll be able to have a more one-on-one experience with drivers and teams, making it more hospitable. Legacy Motorclub took this into account, and Newmar got to work to suit everyone’s needs while designing something they knew the team would love. The news comes just 3 days after the announcement of new management hires Chad Johnston, Brian Campe, and Jacob Canter.

Chief Executive Cal Wells III mentioned that the use of similar coaches during his time working with other Motorsports entities such as IndyCar Formula 1, Off-Roads, and  Sports Cars has been highly beneficial to the success of operations and quality aside from the optimized environment race fans were able to experience. The coach is expected to improve the team’s business on and off track, and Legacy Motorclub is grateful to have Newmar follow along on this journey.

“Having been involved in motorsport for close to 50 years I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to work within the Formula One, IndyCar, off-road, sports car, and NASCAR spaces,” said Cal Wells CEO of Legacy M.C. “In each discipline our operations were critically affected by having a connected space that provides a quality environment for everything from engineering processes to hospitality,” he added. “We are so excited to have them aboard,” Wells continued.

The Perfect On-Track Meeting Place

In addition to personalizing fan experiences, Legacy Motorclub plans to utilize the corporate coach partnered with Newmar as a business epicenter for operations activities, general meetings, and engineering meetings so that the company can focus on what it does best, which is keeping up with the standard of quality their team is built no matter if it’s during a race or not. Newmar President Casey Tubman is happy to be able to provide the team with the opportunity to make this happen.  Tubman thanked Cal Wells and Jimmie Johnson for their humble welcome as a partner with Legacy Motorclub and a member of their team’s close-knit family.

Newmar has been the leader in manufacturing high-quality recreational vehicles with a level of comfort, luxury, and performance that has remained unmatched for over 50 years, and that’s what President Casey Tubman hopes Legacy Motorclub will experience. He noted that Newmar, in partnership with Winnebago Industries, is proud of every build down to the impeccable wood craftsmanship and high level of quality consumers are accustomed to, and they aim to provide the team with the comfort of home while on the track and traveling from one venue to another.

“Our team takes great pride in every build, from our superior quality to the wood craftsmanship we are known for,” Casey Tubman said of the newfound partnership with Legacy Motorclub.  “We know what it takes to deliver a luxurious home away from home and are eager to bring that experience to the track this season,” he stated.

Final Thoughts

The kickoff of the 2025 NASCAR season will be interesting for many reasons, including changes in race schedules and where each series in the sport will be broadcast. Still, for Newmar and Legacy Motorclub, it’s about partnership and growth. The partnership brings a whole new brand of success to the team as the King Aire Coach will house commercial operations activities and meetings and at-track engineering meetings, keeping the brand optimal at any time and from anywhere.
