Khamzat Chimaev is a great fighter who is an emerging legend who has fought and completely dominated his opponents in the Octagon. Recently he was sick which resulted in the delay of his fights. He wasn’t able to fight in the UFC 303 because of his unexpected health issue. Leon Edwards is going to defend his welterweight title against Belal Muhammad in the Machester. Khamzat Chimaev who also wants to fight for the title is now declaring this fight as boring.
Reason for Khamzat Chimaev Declaring This Fight as Boring
Khamzat is an aggressive fighter and he loves to fight his opponents dominantly. Like most of the fighters, he loves to trash talk before the fight which creates and builds the interest of the fans. He opposed the fight coming up because this fight does not have such hype and interest of fans that Khamzat Chimaev would build up when he fights.
He referred to them as the merchants of the fights of they are not as explosive for the viewers.
The UFC 304 will begin about a week from now. Although the hype is being built for the fight. Leon Edward is also building up the hype for the fight with his return to the UK. They fought before this fight and it was a short fight because of a tragedy that happened and caused the fight to stop. It was stopped in the second round, and in the first 20 seconds of it because of an illegal strike.
Khamzat vs. Edwards Fight
Khamzat was going to fight Leon Edwards in the UFC 303 but the fight was cancelled because of illness. UFC CEO Dana White announced that “The Borz” won’t be able to continue fighting because of his serious health issues. Updates on his health are still not given after that, and it is still not confirmed if he is going to fight in the UFC 304.
But to be clear, Khamzat Chimaev was not able to fight Edwards because of Health issues and Bilal Muhammad now got the opportunity to fight him and win the title. But we have to understand that the reason for “The Borz” to not fight against Edwards is the food that he ate before the fight and got sick, which shows the importance of food in the life of a fighter. Khamzat made it clear that he was not impressed by the skills of them both making the fight impressive and interesting for the audience and on the microphone.
The Borz stated his views about the boring fight between Edwards and Bilal in the following words “It’s a boring fight,” Khamzat Chimaev claimed. “Both guys don’t have trash talk and there are no finishes. The only finish I remember is when [Leon] knocked out Usman… One is working for points, the other is also trying to work for points. The fans won’t be happy about it.”
Brutal Night for Leon Edwards by Bilal Muhammad
Bilal Muhammad has expressed his intentions to beat the title holder and make it look so easy, and by such words, he started expressing his thoughts about the upcoming fights. Bilal is trying to change the Environment opposite to what Khamzat Chimaev is saying about their fight. He is trying to create hype and trying to trash talk against Edwards. These words show which shows the intentions of the fighter “I’m telling you I am levels above him everywhere,” Muhammad told Josh Thomson.
Having opposing views Khamzat told the famous fighter Aslanbek Badaev that Edwards isn’t fan fan-friendly fighter. As “The Borz” fought Kamaru Usman he mentioned that Edwards is not a fighter who creates hype for the audience and in other words he is not a Fan-friendly fighter from his experience.
