But on the other side, it took Chimaev’s performance at UFC 308 for people to start questioning what role he plays in the middleweight division. Whittaker is also a former champion of the division and by defeating him, many consider him ready for a title fight. Non-stop striking and grappling combination still pose major problems for his opponents while finishing instinct makes him a dangerous force in his weight class.
