Khabib Nurmagomedov Spends $300,000 on His Team During Camps

The students of Khabib Nurmagomedov are ruling all over MMA organizations, especially UFC. While Islam Makhachev is ruling the UFC Lightweight Division and is the title holder of the division, Usman Nurmagomedov is in the Bellator Championship where he is the title holder of the lightweight title.

Khabib is now reaping the fruits of his hard work as a coach after having to train his team through extreme sessions. However, thanks to Ali Abdelaziz the organization of Khabib is now touching the sky and all those years that he has spent loyal to his fighters and to the people he worked with.

Interview with TMZ Sports

Their long-time manager recently sat down with TMZ Sports for an interview and shared his thoughts on those events. It then shifted to Makhachev’s good buddy and mentor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and how it is for the former champion to be a coach. The interviewer asked Abdelaziz several questions including,

What would his father say right now about what Khabib is doing with his two cousins, both 18-0? And, of course, Islam is the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world. How proud would he be of his guys?”

Abdelaziz said that he has already made his father proud and he is following in his footsteps. A few months ago, freshly announced UFC Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad said the same thing in an interview, which happened to him: after the victory over Gilbert Burns, Eagle invited him to Abu Dhabi for training with his team. Muhammad appreciated the struggles and sacrifices of Khabib and said,

He filled the kitchen with groceries and everything we needed.” Abdelaziz praised Khabib by saying, “I believe he’s a guy who comes to camp, spends $200,000 to $300,000 out of his pocket to help his teammates.”

New Champions Showing up

Many of you might remember that Khabib Nurmagomedov was just an active coach who contributed to Islam Makhachev’s success, but things are getting bigger and bigger now as the younger cousin of Khabib, Umar Nurmagomedov, is getting closer to getting a bantamweight title shot against Merab Dvalishvili.

As we know the younger brother of Umar known as Usman Nurmagomedov is also a part of the Championship team as he is now the Lightweight Champion of Bellator Championship. However, what most people do not know is that, along with all of that success, Team Khabib is also making the next generation of fighters, nurturing someone to take over from Islam Makhachev.

Next Generation

Amru Magomedov today can be considered a professional MMA fighter. He recently had a big achievement when he officially became the lightweight UAE Warriors champion. According to the performance of Amry Magomedov, it seems like he is ready to start his journey towards big Championships like UFC Lightweight Championship, etc.

But the real challenge for him would be when he enters the top 15 rankings and he starts facing the real beasts of UFC, then everyone would know if he can carry the legacy or not.
