Arsenal has selected Bijlow, 26, to take Aaron Ramsdale’s role as backup goalie. Ramsdale is expected to leave the Emirates during the summer transfer window due to connections with Newcastle and Chelsea. Bijlow may cost the Gunners £10 million, according to some news reports. Bijlow was in discussions to join Manchester United in 2023, but they decided to acquire Andre Onana instead of him.
The biggest obstacle that Arsenal will face is the new coach of Liverpool being Arne Slot. Arne Slot was coaching Feyenoord and Bijlow in the past seasons.

Since Justin Bijlow has a good working connection with new Reds coach Arne Slot, who managed him for the last three seasons, Liverpool is now being expected to hijack Arsenal’s quest. Bijlow would be second choice to obvious No. 1 Alisson at Anfield if Slot uses his personal touch to bring him there.

While Justin Bijlow is now busy with getting ready for the Netherlands’ participation in the European Championship this summer, he did address the persistent rumors about his future in an interview with Voetbalzone. Can I remain at Feyenoord? I mean, you never know. You never know that in football, the 26-year-old clarified.

“I’ve always claimed that I’m ambitious. I am open to it if the chance arises and a decent team arrives from outside.”
When asked about Arsenal and Liverpool in particular, Bijlow said, “Those are two very nice clubs.” Naturally, it’s wonderful to be acknowledged in prestigious clubs. I am aspirational, as said. I will give it my all to play for Feyenoord, but before anything else, I want to concentrate on the Dutch team.”

Prediction

Both clubs will want to have a skillful goalkeeper like Justin Bijlow. However, EURO2024 will have an impact on both club’s decisions about him. If he continiues his good football and shows it on EURO2024, then we will watch a big rival between Arsenal and Liverpool.
