Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that his time at Anfield will end at the end of the 2023-24 season. Klopp said he would leave the club because his energy is also running out in the position.
Liverpool’s boss has been successful in clinching the Corabao Cup and is hopeful he will lead his side to win the Premier League title alongside the Europa Cup. Currently, Liverpool is at the top of the table after beating Brighton by 2-1. The goals were scored by Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah after an Opener by Danny Welbeck.
So, who did Jurgen Klopp praise and why?
Who is Jurgen Klopp’s Likely Successor, and What Did He Say?
Jurgen Klopp made significant compliments regarding Roberto De Zerbi prior to his side’s victory against Brighton 2-1. Klopp said,” The way they play makes them a difficult opponent. A possession-based team makes sense for them; they struggle defensively from time to time, but when you have the ball like they have and the formation like they have if they lose the ball, there are opportunities for us.”
“We did not have enough possession against them in other games. It’s actually the best way to deal with them. So, that’s what I told the boys. It would be good if we could have more ball possession than them.” Additionally, what amazed Klopp was how his side responded to going behind.
“He is a top coach indeed and doing really well. It’s amazing to see. I like watching them, to be honest. It’s a different way. It’s possession-based but even more structured and organized from a positional view of each player than maybe Man City or whoever has a bit more freedom in. They will do well. On their day, they can beat any team. But now, we can do that as well. So we will do that as well.”

About De Zerbi
De Zerbi is among the few coaches Klopp has come against to beat, which means he is really good at his job. He replaced Graham Potter at Amex in September 2022, and he has picked up two wins and two draws from four matches against Liverpool. He is now one of the frontrunners to succeed Klopp. Following Xabi Alonso’s decision to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, De Zerbi and Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim remain among the favorites Liverpool would consider for the field job.
