Jurgen Klopp seemed like he was retiring from football altogether when he said goodbye to the Reds last week at an emotional farewell speech and final game for the club. But, that could be a farce as it turns out he might have a new managerial role outlined in front of him that could bring him back to his home country of Germany.
Jurgen Klopp could very well be the next man in charge of the German national team and could take over before they head to Paris for the 2024 Olympics this summer. The DFB, the football association in Germany, could ameliorate Klopp’s plans to have a short break from football before returning to take over as the head coach of his domestic country’s team.
Steve Kay, a reporter, and journalist who keeps track of football transfer news and updates, states that Jurgen Klopp needs a short break from the game.
‘The DFB understands Klopp’s position but is so keen to see him take the job that it is willing to accommodate his desire to have a sabbatical from the game. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is one example of a manager who has taken time away from football only to come back rejuvenated, and the hope is that Klopp will do the same. As such, the DFB is willing to wait for Klopp.

Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool
For those who saw what Jurgen was able to do at Liverpool, it makes sense that the DFB would wait for him to try and get the best person into the head coaching spot for their country.
Jurgen Klopp began his victorious managerial career at Liverpool back in 2015, although it feels like just yesterday he walked into Anfield for the first time. Since he was appointed the head gaffer in charge, he has brought the team that was struggling in the PL to the UEFA Champions League finals in 2018 and 2022, giving the club a chance at an international trophy.
He also won the coveted trophy just a year later in 2019, making it only the sixth time in the history of the club that Liverpool has won the competition. Throughout the 2018-2019 Premier League season, which many claim is the best in history, Liverpool earned 97 points, the third-highest (at the time) in the league’s history.
In 2020, Klopp continued helping his side, winning the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Premier League title – earning a whopping 99 points on the season and shocking Manchester City and Chelsea fans.
His breathtaking accomplishments and exciting coaching style earned him the FIFA Coach of the Year for two years running.
