Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen has the most total touchdowns in the league over the last five seasons with 215. He is above some of the best quarterbacks on that list including Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow. Unfortunately for Buffalo’s quarterback, that success on the stat sheet has not led to great success on the field. While the Buffalo Bills have been perennial contenders over the last five years, they have been unable to break through in the AFC.
In four of the last five seasons, including the last two, Allen and the Bills have been eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are the league’s preeminent dynasty and are the only thing standing between Allen and at least one Super Bowl appearance. Will 2025 finally be the year when he and the Buffalo Bills get over the hump?

Allen is coming off the best regular season of his career. He won his first NFL MVP by a razor-thin margin over Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson. This was a relatively controversial decision as Jackson had better numbers in a variety of categories over Allen.
The star Buffalo Bills quarterback has found his footing after a rough first two seasons. He did not look like an NFL quarterback when he entered the league. Allen was drafted No. 7 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. He had potential but was not an accurate passer. Fortunately, he cut down on his turnovers this season. It led to the greatest achievement of his professional career.
Final Thoughts
Allen has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league over the last five seasons. Coming off an MVP season the pressure will only continue to ratchet up as he continues to win the AFC. He is too good of a player, and Buffalo has too talented of a roster to be consistently shut out of a Super Bowl appearance.
