Jamahal Hill will return to the Octagon on June 29 as the co-main event of UFC 303 but is currently still fixated on his recent loss at UFC 300.
As a short-notice headliner of the landmark event on April 13, Hill’s return in the UFC 300 main event marked his first fight since relinquishing the light heavyweight title nine months prior due to a ruptured Achilles tendon. In his homecoming matchup, ‘Sweet Dreams’ attempted to regain his title against defending champion Alex Pereira but would lose to the Brazilian by first-round knockout.
Jamahal Hill Challenges Critical Fans to High-Stakes Sparring Sessions
Jamahal Hill responds to criticism towards his recent post on Instagram about Alex Pereira:
"For all y'all that's talking all this sh*t… we could talk money… [$20K], pull up to the gym.
I got 20 bands, pull up to the gym bro. Come get paid. I know y'all broke and need it."… pic.twitter.com/oLqZSWEqBx

Months after suffering his second career loss against Alex Pereira at UFC 300, Jamahal Hill posted his thoughts on the fight to social media. Fans were critical of the post, causing Hill to generate another reaction on his Instagram story, challenging doubting fans to spar him for $20,000.
While holding a handful of $100 bills in the video, Hill said:
“Y’all want to speak on this fighting s***, we can talk money s***, n****. Twenty bags, pull up to the gym. All of y’all that’s talking on these posts and talking this and that, I got 20 bags. Pull up to the gym, bro. Come get paid. I know y’all broke and need it.”
Fighting out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Hill spends the majority of his training at the Black Lion Jiu-Jitsu gym. As of June 5, the video is still up on his story with fans able to respond and accept his challenge.
Jamahal Hill’s UFC 300 Instagram Post
For the first time in nearly three years, Jamahal Hill suffered a loss at UFC 300, being on the wrong side of a first-round knockout at the hands of light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. Though Pereira entered the fight as the favorite, the 33-year-old spent most of fight week telling fans how dominant he would be, and subsequently suffered a lot of criticism following the defeat.
Hill was quiet for nearly two months but in the early hours of June 5, the former champion decided to break the silence by posting his thoughts of the fight result on Instagram. In the post, Hill accused Pereira of pulling “some weak s***” to finish the fight, claiming ‘Poatan’ used the unofficial timeout caused by an inadvertent low kick to close distance.
At the end of his post caption, Hill claimed the two would rematch and vowed to avenge his loss with his own knockout.
Jamahal Hill’s UFC 303 Matchup
Jamahal Hill raised a lot of eyebrows in March when he was announced to headline UFC 300 against Alex Pereira, primarily due to fans being shocked at the fact that he would be returning so soon from a devastating Achilles injury. Hill would lost the fight but in another shock, is scheduled to make a quick turnaround and face rising challenger Carlos Ulberg at UFC 303.
Entering the fight on a six-fight win streak, Ulberg will be a short-notice replacement for Khalil Rountree Jr., who was originally scheduled to face Hill in the co-main event. However, Rountree Jr. was pulled from the event after testing positive for PEDs and receiving a corresponding suspension.
