The name Jake Paul needs no introduction. The social media sensation turned pro boxer has established his name as one of the most prominent names in the sport of boxing over the past few years. While he certainly lacks the ability of top-level boxers, his ability to draw eyeballs has made him one of the sport’s biggest names.
As of now, Paul’s professional record stands at 8-1. His only defeat came at the hands of Tommy Fury, the half-brother of Tyson Fury. The two locked horns in February last year. Many expected Fury to get the job done rather easily. However, The Problem Child’ fought a good fight and made it close for the judges to score the fight.
In the end, Jake Paul ended up losing a split decision. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding a potential rematch between the two. However, it looks like we might not get to see a rematch anytime soon.
During a recent interview with ESPN, Jake Paul revealed that Tommy Fury “priced himself out” for a potential rematch. He said:
“Unrealistic in terms of offers and finances, he thinks he’s his brother. So, it’s hard to get that across these hard-headed people who aren’t very good at business and don’t understand the way and the landscape of boxing.”
Adding to Jake Paul’s comments, Nakisa Bidarian, the co-founder of MVP promotions revealed that there was a $20 million deal on the table. He said:
“He’s willing to fight him in boxing and if Jake wins, he’s willing to enter the SmartCage in PFL with Tommy. There’s a path there where it’s close to $20 million in guaranteed money.”

Who is Jake Paul fighting next?
After securing a vicious knockout victory over Andre August in December last year, Jake Paul is set to return to the squared circle next month in March. This time around, Paul will take on a former Golden Gloves champion, National Junior Olympian, and two-time GBO Light Heavyweight champion, Ryan Bourland.
Ryan Bourland boasts a professional record of 17-2-0. The bout is set to be eight rounds and will serve as the co-main event to Amanda Serrano vs. Nina Meinke. That said, it’s safe to say that Paul will look to secure another statement victory as he looks to realize his dream of becoming a world champion in the future.
