Jadon Sancho to Feature in Erik ten Hag’s Pre-Season Squad

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho will be back unlike the previous season of the Premier League when ten Hag had kept him out of the games and they got themselves in a costly situation. Manchester United under ten Hag was in shambles as players were finding themselves in a tough spot to find their prime. The particular reason behind the pitfalls that dragged United back was the managers’ tactics that were not handy enough to achieve a top spot.

ten Hag’s grudges against the best players have not been a secret. From having a personal issue with Cristiano Ronaldo, and De Gea to Jadon Sancho, the manager’s taste in brilliant players has been very bitter. Somehow, Sancho is back from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United as he agrees to bury his past behind him and agrees to move forward. He could be an addition to Manchester United’s pre-season squad, as he keeps an eye on the main squad.

There is no doubt that Sancho’s recent performance has been boosted by a hundred percent since he left United for Borussia Dortmund. He even managed to shine in the last year’s Champions League. Unfortunately, they lost against Real Madrid in the Champions League finals. But having him thinking of patching things up with ten Hag and coming back, there might be some setbacks for the Englishman to regain his complete trust to bring out the best in him.

Jadon Sancho’s brilliance in finding out the tight spaces with ease and having a knack for flashy dribbling with a blend of playmaking and passing made him one of the best youngsters over the years. However, his skills overlapped with the outcome of not concentrating on the game and partying which kept him on the bench. He will eye to regain his spot to get to his natural form and get back in the original squad for the Premier League and the following tournaments.

The winger’s only weakness is how he keeps the ball to himself for a longer period which allows the other players to get on the line with him. During his Manchester United career so far the  24-year-old has only scored five goals and three assists, which lacks him to compete with the best players and to become a reliable player. His inconsistency is one of the major reasons which pulls him to be the best.

He has an opportunity to put the past behind him and move forward with a positive start. However, United needs to find a reliable finisher as Marcus Rashford’s and Rasmus Hojlund’s inconsistency has already ruined the game for the club. Missing those chances has cost the club a lot of points.

Can Sancho Find His Prime Back?

Since his debut for Borussia Dortmund, Jadon Sancho’s gameplay has already improved everyone. Coming out as a Man City reject, his keen interest was to improve himself and to play even better and better. Things also went high and low as Sancho also played alongside Haaland and had great chemistry with him. His worst days came when he signed for United in 2021 which started to drain out his play.

Then he again signed for Dortmund on loan, and things were back to normal as there was deja vu when Jadon Sancho wore the black and yellow kit and started to play as a playmaker and the tempo controller. However, this might be a chance for him to put things differently as he is in his current fiery form. Ten Hag wants the game out of him during his tenure as a Manchester United player.
