Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence Hurt In Week 13

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence returned to the field today at home against the division-leading Houston Texans. Lawrence was sidelined since Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles when he suffered an AC joint sprain. Even though the QB was not at 100% heading into the matchup he decided to suit up following a strong week of practice. Even when Lawrence was healthy in 2024, he has not played well. He had 11 touchdowns and 6 interceptions entering today’s game and was 11th in QBR.

Lawrence’s first half ended on a scary note as Lawrence was carted off due to a clear cheap shot by Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair late in the second quarter. Lawrence was sliding and the Texans player walloped Lawrence. Al-Shaair and Cornerback Jarrian Jones were ejected as a fight broke out between the teams. Lawrence looked alert as he was carted off to the locker where he will undergo further evaluation.

Lawrence showed some understandable rust on Sunday and threw an ill-advised interception into double coverage early in the second quarter. He was 4-of-10 for 41 yards in the first half with a QB rating of 12.9. A quarterback would have a QB rating of 39.6 if they spiked the ball on every play. What will Lawrence’s prognosis be?

Jacksonville Jaguars Game Summary

It was a welcome sight to see Lawrence under center today due to the horrendous play of backup Quarterback Mac Jones. Jones had 0 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in relief as the Jacksonville Jaguars offense mustered only 13 points in the two games with Jones at the helm.

Any of that good feeling evaporated before the end of the first half. The Jacksonville Jaguars settled themselves following the injury to their star quarterback to get on the board with a field goal. The Houston Texans are up 6-3 at the end of the first half. Stay up-to-date with the latest news regarding Lawrence’s injury through Total Apex Sports.
