Who is Mikel Arteta behind the scenes? If you are wondering, former Arsenal star Wilshere has lifted the lid about who the Arsenal boss is in person.
If you don’t know, the two(Arteta and Wilshere) shared the dressing room for five years when they were still players at Arsenal. At the time, Arsene Wenger was the boss of the elite English Premier League club. During their period, the club won two FA Cup titles. Despite the victory, they faced intense fun scrutiny because of the game’s biggest honor.
One unfortunate fact about Wilshere is that he was in treatment for most of his time at the club due to his injuries. Having come to the limelight just as a teenager, Wilshere had shared moments with bigwigs in football, like Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie, by the time Arteta joined the London-based team in 2011.
So, what did Jack say?
What Jack Wilshere Revealed About Mikel
Speaking to William Hill’s Up Front with Simon Jordan podcast, the current Arsenal under 18’s coach revealed a few things people did not know about the current Arsenal boss. He explained, “When Mikel Arteta came to Arsenal football club, you could easily tell he was a different leader.”
He claimed that Arteta was a good player who was technically brilliant. He was a leader, a talker, and understood the game well. Wilshere added that Mikel was different from other players he had experienced at the time.
Recalling his first impression of Arteta, he remembers that Artea had just joined form Everton. He asked the Gunners Academy graduate how long he would get sidelined. His primary concern was that he needed to hurry up and get back to full fitness.
Arteta reaching out to Jack Wilshere made him feel so nice because it showed how Arteta viewed him then. He continued to discuss how amazing Arteta was before taking up the responsibility of being Gunners coach in 2019.

Did Mikel Arteta Ever Have Any “Heated” Moments?
“He was an empathetic kind of person and was much arm around the shoulder. But I remember him having a few heated conversations with other team members. He could be both types of a leader. That was evident in how he dealt with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the documentary.” Wilshere said.
The only thing Wilshere said is that humility is rare in any English Premier League leader. He would also challenge managers at individual times and specific processes.
