Darwin Nunez has a combined total of 17 goal involvements this season, in just 25 games in the Premier League alone. And 4 goals in the UEFA Europa League. Although he has missed some matches due to injury.
His recent performance has been outstanding. Liverpool are currently hoping to win the quadruple, to give Jurgen Klopp a befitting send-off. They are top of the Premier League table and needed to win their last Premier League match against Nottingham Forest. Nunez was substituted in and scored a late winner for his side. Klopp’s men dominated Sparta Prague in the Europa League knockout outstage match. It was a 5-1 flawless victory for the away side, with Darwin Nunez topping the scored board with a brace.

Darwin Nunez joined Liverpool in 2022, with a club-record transfer fee of £85m from Benfica. He penned a six-year deal for the Premier League side. Nunez had an amazing season with Benfica, scoring 34 goals in all competitions. He even found the back of the net in both legs of their Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool that season.
The striker signed for Liverpool at the same time Erling Haaland Signed for Manchester City. He has been criticized as underperforming due to the difference between himself and the Mancity striker.
