India Leaders Win Final 2024 WCL After Beating Pakistan 

India Leaders won the World Championship of Legends championship on Sunday, defeating Pakistan Champions in the final at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The Men in Blue triumphed by five wickets. In the final World Championship of Legends, held at Birmingham’s Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Pakistan Champions skipper Younis Khan got the toss and decided to bat first. 

Pakistan’s Efforts Against India Leaders

Pakistan achieved 156 runs against India Leaders for six wickets while batting first. Shoaib Malik scored 41 runs, Kamran Akmal scored 24 runs, and Sohaib Maqsood scored 21 runs for Pakistan Champions. Misbah-ul-Haq scored 18 runs, while Sharjeel Khan contributed 12 runs. 

Captain Younis Khan and Aamir Yameen each scored seven runs. Sohail Tanvir was not out with 19 runs, while Shahid Afridi scored 4. Younus Khan captains them. He is a previous T20 World Cup winner. In contrast, Yuvraj Singh leads the India Champions. 

The World Championship of Legends is a Twenty20 cricket competition that includes former international players from various countries. The England and Wales Cricket Board authorized it.

India Leaders Chase In World Championship

The India Leaders met Pakistan’s goal of 157 runs, losing 5 wickets in the last over. India’s Ambati Rayudu scored 50, Garkrit Singh 34, and Yusuf Pathan 30 runs, while Yuvraj Singh 15, Robin Othappa 10, and Suresh Raina were all out for four runs. 

Anureet Singh was his team’s highest wicket-taker. Shoaib Malik, who held the wickets secure from one end throughout the innings, was the highest run-scorer. He made 41 of 36 deliveries. 

Aamir Yameen of Pakistan Champions removed two players, while Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz, and Shoaib Malik each claimed one wicket. It should be remembered that in the event’s previous match, the Pakistan champions defeated the India Leaders by 68 runs. 

Singh kept the Pakistani players at bay, delivering 3-43, while Rayudu top-scored with 50 runs off 30 deliveries. Pakistan’s Aamer Yamin finished with 2-29, while Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz, and Malik each grabbed one wicket.
