Hansi Flick Delivers a Strong Message after Barcelona’s Shocking loss

Hansi Flick

Hansi Flick was disappointed about his team’s shocking loss against Monaco. However, he has delivered a strong Statement as a form of Motivation for his team. Barcelona will try to remove their focus from the painful loss as they’ll travel to Villarreal on Sunday to continue their La Liga campaign.

However, there are still a lot of worries for Hansi Flick’s side. Injuries have been increasing in the squad and a lot of management will be required of the German to keep his side from dropping in form. Already the Blaugranas are in five wins out of five games in the La Liga. They’ll hope they can continue with that ahead of their trip to Villarreal. A good win for Hansi Flick and his team will help rejuvenate the team over the painful Monaco loss.

Hansi Flick analyzed the game thoroughly and he praised the team for defending well. However, he noted there were a lot of mistakes and he said that the boys will come back stronger and better ahead of their game against Villarreal. He said: “Yes, the game changed completely [after the red]. We tried at all times, we defended with passion. We made some mistakes, but we tried to score goals. We had some chances, but they deserved to win, We lost, okay, I told the players that, but now we have to come back stronger, and recover for Sunday’s game. We have to give our best and fight for the team. We lost this game, but we will continue to fight.”

Hansi Flick on the Red card

The German called out the Red Card being a disadvantage they had all through the game, even though Yamal scored it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat. He believed the Red was not supposed to happen, however, he praised his team for trying their best despite the Red. He said: “Yes, for sure [the red card conditioned the game],” he told reporters. “There was a misunderstanding in that situation. I feel bad for Eric because it has cost him. Then we have to play for 80 minutes a player down. It should not have happened, but it does happen from time to time in football. It hurts because even with 10 men we showed up.

He finally added: “The game was not under control, but we showed up. At the end of the day, we lost by one goal, the second one, which came from nowhere and wasn’t deserved in that moment.”

What’s Ahead for Barcelona

Barcelona will prepare themselves to make a trip to Villarreal. It will be a crucial game for Hansi Flick as a win will refuel the team. A draw or loss would be something Barcelona will try to avoid so it won’t create a poor momentum for them. Despite their absence of Olmo, De Jong, and Gavi, the Catalans will be hoping to maintain their La Liga form with consistency in winning, till they are able to return to the Champions League where they’ll seek a big win to strengthen their qualification chances.
