The Green Bay Packers (1-1) will take on the Tennessee Titans (0-2) at Nissan Stadium on Sunday. Green Bay will look to extend its win streak after beating the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Field a week ago. However, the Titans need a win after dropping their first two games of the NFL regular season.
Since the two teams will hit the field tomorrow against one another, here is a preview of the upcoming game in Week Three.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers will have Malik Willis as their signal caller for the second week. There was a possibility that starting quarterback Jordan Love could suit up. But, if he is not able to return to the field, fans could see him come back in Week Five. Last week Willis went 12-15 for 122 yards and one touchdown pass.
DonTayvion Wicks reached the end zone on a pass from Willis inside the red zone for the Green Bay Packers. Romeo Doubs was the top receiver with three catches for 62 yards. Defensively, the Packers were able to take the ball away from their opponent on three separate occasions.
Veteran free safety Xavier McKinney got his first interception with the Green Bay Packers as their newest addition in the secondary. If the Green Bay Packers can bring the same energy and intensity as a unit, they have an opportunity to be successful in their next contest.
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans lost to the New York Jets by a score of 24-17 at home a week ago. Will Levis went 19-28 for 192 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Calvin Ridley caught the only touchdown pass for the Titans. Tony Pollard led the offense in rushing with 17 carries for 62 yards on the ground.
Ernest Jones finished with six tackles defensively. Harold Landry was able to get to Aaron Rodgers twice. Unfortunately, it was not enough to get past the New York Jets. Tennessee was not able to force any turnovers by the Jets with the veteran experience of Rodgers and Garrett Wilson on offense.
Final Thoughts
If the Titans’ offensive line can protect their quarterback better than they did in Week Two, moving the ball could be a little easier against the Green Bay Packers. If Malik Willis can improve after his performance last week and keep the offense rolling, their chances will likely be even greater this week.
Josh Jacobs can have a spectacular game if he hits the holes made by the Green Bay Packers offensive line. His first start looked promising against Indianapolis. Though he carried the ball more than usual, he was able to pick up positive yardage on each possession. Green Bay could rely on the running game again if Matt Lafleur uses that strategy at Nissan Stadium. The game will kick off at 1:00 pm ET tomorrow.
