Green Bay Packers: Former NFL MVP Raves About Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers Jordan Love Matt Ryan

The Green Bay Packers may have done it again. After chaining together Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, the team may have their next franchise quarterback in Jordan Love. The first-year starter led the team to the playoffs and a huge postseason win with a young roster. Former NFL MVP quarterback Matt Ryan is impressed by what he sees out of Love and raved about him in a recent interview.

Matt Ryan Raves About Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love

Alex Strouf of ESPN Milwaukee put out a tweet showcasing Ryan’s comments on Jordan Love. The 2016 MVP called the game between the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. While that game ended in a loss, Love played very well.

“The space where he takes the next steps is just cleaning up the little things, down in and down out. I think that’s going to come with experience. Having all that film to watch from last year, just cleaning up some of the simple things. Being a little more consistent. If he can do that, the sky is the limit.”

“He made a couple throws during that game that reminded me so much of Aaron. The ability to move outside the pocket, to throw from off platform situations and deliver the ball with the velocity and accuracy that he did, I was really impressed.”

The NFC North can’t be happy to hear the one comment. Aaron Rodgers tormented the division throughout his tenure, and many teams looked forward to getting back at their rivals. If Jordan Love continues to improve, the Green Bay Packers should continue to dominate opponents.

More Impressive Considering The Roster

What is even more impressive about Love’s first season is the roster around him. All of his receivers were rookies or second-year players. His left tackle was a seventh-round pick. It was supposed to be a rebuilding year. Behind the stellar coaching of Matt LaFleur, this offense overperformed, which should scare other teams. The Green Bay Packers now have a full offseason under their belt. If they improve on last year, this offense could be devastating.

Furthermore, this group will likely have more years together beyond just this one. The team is building a foundation of success for years to come. They have one of the youngest rosters in the league yet again, but this year, they are a trendy pick to win the NFC North. Many people are high on the Packers and Jordan Love. If he can continue his ascent, the Packers may have another Hall of Famer under center for the next decade.
