Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love Returns To Practice

The Green Bay Packers are heading into their third regular season game on Sunday. They will face the Tennessee Titans in Week Three. In the previous game, Packers fans saw an unfamiliar face at quarterback. Malik Willis got the start last Sunday in their win against the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Field.

Some positive news for Packers fans is that their starting quarterback Jordan Love returned to practice on Wednesday after suffering an MCL sprain in Week One against the Philadelphia Eagles. Love is hopeful that he can get some playing time in the upcoming game on the road in Tennessee.

In Week One, Jordan Love went 17-34 for 260 yards. He threw two touchdown passes and one interception in the game against Philadelphia. On Wednesday, Love returned to practice in a limited capacity. Jordan Love participated in drills during practice yesterday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Love is hoping to return this Sunday, but there is a timetable that appears to be sooner than most expected.

Love could be back under center within the next one to two weeks. Right now, he is listed as questionable for Week Three against the Tennessee Titans. However, if he is unable to take the field, backup quarterback Malik Willis will start again for the Green Bay Packers. Willis had an impressive showing in their home win against the Colts last week.

Green Bay Packers Backup QB Shines In Week Two

Last Sunday, the Green Bay Packers backup signal caller went 12-15 for 122 yards and one touchdown. That lone score went to Packers wideout DonTayvion Wicks inside the red zone. This is one aspect that the team struggled with in Week One. But, they were able to bounce back and perform better on both sides of the ball at Lambeau Field.

Malik Willis and the offense gave the team more confidence and truthfully gave the fans hope in Week Two. Jordan Love spoke about the team’s performance in their last game stating, “I think Malik did a great job,” Love said. “What we did last week gives everybody more confidence going forward if I’m not there this week.”

Final Thoughts

If the team can improve from the previous week, anything is possible for the Green Bay Packers football team moving forward. Of course, everyone is awaiting the return of their starting quarterback, but at this point, they appear to be in good hands. The Green Bay Packers will take on the Tennessee Titans at 1:00 pm on Sunday.
