Green Bay Packers vs. Arizona Cardinals Week 6 Preview

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers (3-2) will take on the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field tomorrow. After a sketchy start for the Packers, they were able to come together collectively as a unit and win on the road against the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday. Conversely, Arizona pulled off a shocking upset against the San Francisco 49ers.

With the Green Bay Packers and Cardinals winning in week five, they will play one another and try to add another win to their record. Here is a preview of the upcoming game between the Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Cardinals.

Green Bay had to fight back against the Rams a week ago. After trailing at halftime 13-10, they rallied to win the game by a score of 24-19. Starting quarterback Jordan Love went 15-26 for 224 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. The first half for the Green Bay Packers was not up to their standards regarding decisions on the field.

Tight end Tucker Kraft led the offense in scoring with a 66-yard touchdown pass that gave the team a boost coming out of halftime. Kraft had two touchdowns, which was a career-high for him as a Packer. Josh Jacobs ran for 73 yards on 19 carries and scored one touchdown on the ground. If the Green Bay Packers can get off to a better start early in the game, their chances of winning will be much greater.

Defensively, Xavier McKinney set a record for the most interceptions in five games. In each game to this point, McKinney has picked off the opposing quarterback. This has not occurred since 1970 for the Green Bay Packers on defense. The entire defensive unit will have to play even harder against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. Murray can escape the rush and scramble for yards if it is needed.

Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals pulled off an improbable comeback after being down by double digits to the San Francisco 49ers. Murray went 19-30 for 195 yards and put the Arizona Cardinals in field goal range with a little over a minute left in regulation. Rookie kicker Jake Moody left the game during the second quarter with a high ankle sprain.

On defense, Krys Barnes and Naquan Jones were able to bring down Brock Purdy combining for two sacks. The rest of the defense was able to create turnovers on three separate occasions that helped the team pull off the upset.

Conclusion

The matchup between the two franchises will be interesting to see as Arizona beat one of the best teams in the NFL. They are a resilient squad that the Green Bay Packers cannot overlook even as the Cardinals sit at a 2-3 record. The Green Bay Packers will face the Arizona Cardinals at 1:00 pm ET on Fox.
