However, only four more ODI games were available to him after the initial success and he could come close again only in two of them.
In March 2022, he was again called into the New Zealand ODI squad for a series against the Netherlands when the middle-order batter Mark Chapman tested positive for Covid-19. However, he was not able to feature in that series.
