Despite fans mocking Fury to retire following his injury before a big fight, the Gypsy King has announced the latest update on his scheduled fight. Recently, Tyson Fury went live on his Instagram to provide an update on his fight with Oleksandr Usyk. The fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on May 18th, 2024. During his Instagram Live, he also teased knocking out Usyk in their undisputed heavyweight fight after this year.
This is the second time Fury vs Usyk has been postponed since its announcement. Earlier, the two heavyweights were scheduled to fight in December 2023; however, following Fury’s fight with Ngannou, the date was postponed to February. Finally, the promotion scheduled the fight on May 18th, where the two fighters will settle their score in a big 12-round boxing match.
Tyson Fury fought Francis Ngannou in his 12-round heavyweight in his last fight. This was an absolute banger match for the fans as they saw Ngannou landing a significant knockdown in the third round to put Fury on the canvas. Although the bout resulted in Fury’s victory, many fans doubted Fury’s inability to win the bout via KO.
