Every place has its culture, and FC Bayern Munich isn’t an exception. The club has a tradition of integrating former players into the club’s organizational structure. That’s more evident in the staff of coaches.
Players like Martin Demicheles, Sando Wagner, and Miroslav Klose have served at Bayern as coaches in different roles in the club. As it stands, Franck Ribery could be the latest addition to this coaching list of the Bundesliga Champion’s coaching staff.
Franck Ribery’s Playing Career
Ribery joined Bayern Munich FC from Marseille in 2005 for €30m. During his time at the club, Ribery played 425 games across all competitions, scored 124 goals, and created 182 more chances.
He left Bayern in 2019 and played for notable teams like Fiorentina, where he spent two years and a season at Salerntina in Seria A. His playing career didn’t go further than Salerntina because he considered retirement after the season ended.
Is Ribery Open to Bayern Munich’s Campus Coaching Role?
According to Kicker Journalist [Via @MiaSanMia], Ribery could be open to the FC Bayern Munich Campus coaching role. The Frenchman is currently finishing his coaching, and this is little reason why he would decline to join the club.
The club has also been in touch with him even after leaving in 2019, showing light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone else is waiting to see the direction Ribery’s coaching career will take at Bayern.

Why is Bayern Munich so Keen?
Looking at Frank Lampard’s experience at Chelsea, the senior team would not wish to have a former player as a coach, and then it turns out that the coach does not have relevant experience for the role. That’s why Bayern Munich is so careful when giving a former player the coaching role. Ribery still lives in Munich and often spends most of his time there. He’s also known to be a crowd lover.
Will it Be a Positive Move for Franck?
Whether returning to his foreign team as a coach is the best course of action depends on him. It’s all on him to decide what he needs for his coaching career after retirement. Coaching younger clubs at big clubs like Bayern will be a good step in the right direction for the Frenchman.
