Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira have faced off each other several times recently and one of them was promoted by Jake Paul. Ngannou, also known as “The Predator,” is set to face Ferreira again on October 19th, 2024 but this time it’s going to be in the Octagon. After the heartbreaking loss of his 15-month-old son, Kobe, and dealing with financial, emotional, and physical struggles over the past 33 months, Ngannou is preparing to return to the Octagon.
Ferreira is the current PFL Heavyweight champion and if Ngannou beats Ferreira he will be the new PFL champion which will make it hard for him to go back to UFC. But the contracts and relations with PFL are in a good way as he has enriched himself and the current and future rivals. For that reason, Ferreira is grateful to Ngannou.

Francis Ngannou left UFC due to problems in the contract but PFL has a great deal for him now. His contract with PFL includes equity in the company. not only that but he’ll be one of the PFL board of directors members. Furthermore, the contract consists of a seven-figure salary for Ngannou. And if he loses, his opponents will receive a guaranteed $2 Million after the fight.
This shows that he does not only care about himself but also his rivals in the Octagon. And Ferreria appreciates and respects that. Ferreira was impressed by the performance of Ngannou in his boxing career, although Ngannou lost as we know it’s very difficult for MMA fighters to compete in Boxing and compared to that, our champion has performed very well. Ferriera appreciated him in the following words:
“Not only for gaining space in the boxing scene as well, which we know is hard for MMA fighters to do, although he didn’t have a good performance in his last fight [vs. Anthony Joshua] — but it was enormous of him to say that his opponent should be valued as well. It was very nice of him.”
Ferreira on Ngannou’s Current State
Everyone was scared to fight ‘The Predator‘ in the Octagon because he almost defeated every opponent in the Octagon and he did that continuously, one after the other. There were rumors that the current Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was also scared to fight ‘The Predator’. Ferriera is aware of how dangerous can Ngannou be for him. Both are the masters of Striking and knocking out people in the Octagon. Ferriera is famous for his takedowns and striking while fighters are just scared to see the face of Ngannou on the other end of the Octagon.
Ferreira said, “Francis is an aggressive man and a knockout artist like myself, but I’m working in all areas. I have good takedowns, I have good jiu-jitsu, so if the opportunity presents itself, I’ll attack and take him down and use my heavy ground and pound, something I’ve always done.”
Possible Outcome
Although Ferriera believes that Ngannou is a hard opponent, everyone has the thought deep down in their hearts that Ngannou wouldn’t be able to perform as he used to do. Ngannou can take advantage of that, and turn that into his win. Due to all these physical and mental advantages, Francis Ngannou has a higher chance of winning against ‘The Problema‘.
