The Florida Panthers are the 2024 Stanley Cup champions. With the new NHL season underway, the Panthers changed their center ice logo to an inspired Stanley Cup logo incorporating the Panthers shield logo. Along with the new center ice logo, the Stanley Cup, Eastern Conference, and Atlantic Division banners will be hanging in the rafters at Amerant Bank Arena. The home opener for the Florida Panthers is October 3rd against Atlantic Division rivals Boston Bruins.

The Florida Panthers will be doing something a little bit different this year with the center ice logo by filling it in. Teams around the NHL have been seen doing this and the Panthers will be doing the same. Over the past week, Amerant Bank arena staff have been working on building the ice for the ice rink. This process starts with adding a thin layer of ice on the ground and then freshly painting it with bright white paint, and then adding all the lines and faceoff circles. After the painting is done, more thin layers of ice are added on top. Inside the big center ice faceoff circle is where every team paints its logo.
The center ice logo this year for the Florida Panthers was inspired by the Stanley Cup. The Panthers are recreating the inside of the bowl of the Stanley Cup, taking the embossed pattern inside the Cup and painting them on the ice to appear as sun rays. The sun rays will be around the Florida Panthers’ shield and painted red with the sun rays yellow. The Panthers last season used their 30th Anniversary logo for center ice but this year is about the Cup.
Fans will be able to see the logo on the first preseason game when the Panthers host the Nashville Predators on September 22nd. The Panthers will also have two other preseason games at Amerant Bank Arena against Tampa Bay and Carolina.
