It appears former Las Vegas Raiders Head Coach Jon Gruden has finally resurfaced. The controversial figure has a new endeavor. But it’s not coaching. Instead, Gruden has started up a YouTube channel. Gruden has been out of coaching in the NFL since his resignation in 2021. He has filled in and shown up as a volunteer coach at several training camps including the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs since then.
Gruden Might Review Las Vegas Raiders Film

On his new channel, Gruden promises to break down NFL, College Football, and High School football films. Nobody has ever been able to deny his love and obsession with football. It is possible that Gruden’s channel could see him diving into Las Vegas Raiders film as they attempt to make it back to the postseason this year.
Jon Gruden is a very controversial figure in “Raider Nation” due to how terrible his second tenure went. The team managed to make the playoffs without him that year, but his second tenure also featured two seasons where the Las Vegas Raiders choked away potential playoff runs in 2019 and 2020. It remains to be seen how much his new channel will be supported by “Raider Nation.”
The Channel Name Is Appropriate
Everybody knows that “Chucky” is one of the biggest football fanatics in the world. It’s going to be interesting to see how he might break down films of different players that he has a history with like Amari Cooper. Seeing him break down the film of Derek Carr in particular will be an interesting watch given their prior history.
Gruden’s first video on the channel is already up. In seven minutes, he breaks down the matchup between the Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens before issuing his pick of the winner. If you’re interested, the channel name is “GrudenLovesFootball.”
Gruden Has Been Busy Since His Dismissal
When Jon Gruden resigned from his job with the Las Vegas Raiders, no one expected him to go into the sunset quietly. He’s gone through a massive lawsuit with the NFL which was moved quietly into arbitration. He coached in Italy as part of the European League of Football and as an advisor in addition to his training camp appearances.
The sight of Gruden wearing Chiefs gear had to be a sight that brought “Raider Nation” to grab their collective stomachs. Still, it must be said that he has done his best to remain relevant. An NFL head coach offer is incredibly unlikely for Gruden given everything that went down, but it’s almost impossible to get Gruden away from the game he loves.
A Potential Great Avenue For Gruden
In addition to his time on ESPN working on Monday Night Football, the general public might remember the show “Gruden’s QB Camp.” He had various quarterbacks you will recognize coming onto the show where he broke down their film and showcased their strengths and weaknesses. Quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen all went onto the show as they entered the NFL Draft.
There are a lot of adjectives that can be used to describe “Chucky.” One of them has to be entertaining, as nobody can deny he was one of the great characters in the NFL. It served him well on ESPN and it might work out great for him on Youtube.
