Everton Pushing to Sign Out-Of-Favor Chelsea Striker For £30 Million

Everton are grasping at straws to find any way they can place better in the Premier League than they did last season. Although they rarely contend for the top five spots in the elite level of English football, they are looking to make some key summer signings that will propel them higher on the ladder and see them get more points on the board.

One of their top targets for this current transfer window is a striker who is at Chelsea FC – but hasn’t seen that much game time. Any striker who is sitting on the bench is surely unhappy, so this is the best time for Everton to make a deal with this former goal-scorer.

Everton are looking to get better people on their squad chart this summer so they can have more depth and substitutions that are ready to play if injuries come knocking. And with a long Premier League season, having great players on the bench who can step in and make a difference is key.

Everton wants to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea for a little over $30 million this summer transfer window. Everton needs to focus on scoring more goals and being a more attacking-minded team in the 2024-2025 season, so signing a Chelsea forward is a fantastic deal for the toffees who are having trouble getting points on the board.

Sean Dyche, the manager at Everton, needs to take matters into their own hands and sign the striker before other European clubs get a hold of him. Other top-tier teams, like Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, AC Milan, and Monaco are all on the cards for purchasing the Chelsea #9.

And why do they want him so bad? Broja has a good career so far and has made a name for himself with the clubs he has played at in the past. Broja has risen through the ranks at the youth academy at Chelsea and went on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, getting more senior minutes and boosting his confidence.

He was able to break into the first team at Chelsea FC at only 22 years old, an amazing feat for a young player. But, he couldn’t find his goal-scoring potential at the Blues, finding the back of the net only three times in 38 appearances. Whether it is his confidence, playing style, current form, or managerial tactics, it just isn’t working for him at his current club.

Therefore, he made the move to go on loan to Fulham to get more minutes and gain back his confidence in the Premier League. However, this plan backfired, as he made only eight appearances off the bench with his new team.

Now, he is looking for a more regular first-team game that will provide him with a platform to score goals and shine.

Everton Looking Forward

Everton FC ended the 2023-2024 Premier League season at the bottom of the table, amassing only 40 points in 38 matches played, securing 13 wins during their long run of the season. They scored only 40 goals – which is a huge reason why they have their sights set on Broja during the transfer window.

Everton’s goal differential of -11 was one of the worst in the league, scoring 40 goals in 38 games. They only let in 51 goals, which is a good defensive record, but their inability to find the back of the net meant they ended the season in an abysmal 15th place.

Next season, they hope to build on what happened this past year and break into the top ten.
